TURKIYE DRONE RACE

The Türkiye Drone Race is the FPV drone racing event held in Turkey as part of the International Air Sports Federation (FAI) Drone Racing World Cup series.

CAT2 World Cup races are held in different countries each year. Through the points earned in these events, FPV pilots accumulate points toward the FAI Drone Racing World Cup standings.

The "Türkiye Drone Race" (TDR)—part of the FAI Drone Racing World Cup—was organized by the THSF and TDL under FAI authorization in 2024 and 2025.

The third race of the Türkiye Drone Race will be organized by the THSF and TDL in Istanbul on September 5–6, 2026, with the support of the Sultangazi Municipality.

TÜRKİYE AIR SPORTS FEDERATION (THSF)

Established in 2017 to contribute to the development of the country's sports aviation sector and to increase its global visibility in air sports—just as in other athletic disciplines—the THSF is dedicated to continuous improvement and ensuring sustainability within the field of air sports, alongside its 16 distinct air sport branches, athletes, and clubs. In 2025, with the approval of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, the Drone Soccer and Drone Simulator Racing branches were added to the THSF's existing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Drone Racing branches.

TECH DRONE LEAGUE

TDL was established in 2016 with the aim of developing and promoting drone technology and sports in Turkey, as well as increasing the number of users. To achieve its goals, TDL has built a corporate infrastructure comprising "Racing," "Academy," "Store," "Track," "Marketing," and "Promotion" divisions. As the world's largest drone racing team—boasting 150 pilots and 25 instructors—TDL has organized over 300 drone races, events, and training sessions. TDL instructors have trained more than 150 FPV pilots and provided drone training and assembly instruction to over 10,000 young people and children. Participants in TDL's annual FPV drone races include pilots from two sports clubs affiliated with the THSF (the Drone Sports Club and the International Drone Sports Club), as well as pilots from numerous school and municipal drone racing teams supported by TDL and other THSF-affiliated clubs. For the past four years, TDL has organized the THSF's UAV Turkey Championship races and, for the 2024/2025 season, the "Turkey Drone Race" (an FAI CAT2 event). TDL will also organize the Turkey Drone Race in 2026.
