TÜRKİYE DRONE RACE

Türkiye Drone Race is the FPV drone race of the International Air Sports Federation (FAI) Drone Racing World Cup to be held in İstanbul on 28-29 September 2024.

CAT2 World Cup races are organised in different countries every year. FPV pilots collect points for the FAI's Drone Racing World Cup with the points they obtain in these races.

In 2024, the FAI Drone Racing World Cup ‘Türkiye Drone Race’ (TDR) race will be held for the first time. FAI has authorised the Turkish Air Sports Federation (THSF), Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) for this race. THSF and THK have assigned the task of organising the Türkiye Drone Race to Tech Drone League (TDL).

A minimum of 30 pilots and a maximum of 70 pilots will be able to participate in the TDR, which will take place on 28-29 September at Yedikule Castle with the support of Fatih Municipality through the authorisation of FAI and the implementation of its regulations.

TURKISH AIR SPORTS FEDERATION

THSF, which was established in 2017 in order to contribute to the development of our country in the sportive aviation sector and to increase its recognition in the global arena in air sports as in other sports branches, aims to continuously improve itself in the field of air sports with its 16 different air sports branches, athletes and clubs and to ensure its sustainability with its values.

TURKISH AERONAUTICAL ASSOCIATION

Founded on 16 February 1925 with the directives of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK with the mission of establishing the aviation industry of the Republic of Turkey and ensuring the development of military, civil, sportive and touristic aviation, the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) focuses on the sustainability and continuous development of the Turkish aviation industry.

TECH DRONE LEAGUE

Tech Drone League was founded in 2016 with the aim of developing and promoting drone technology and sports in our country and increasing the number of users. TDL has established its corporate infrastructure consisting of ‘Racing’, ‘Academy’, ‘Store’, ‘Race Track’, ‘Merchandising’ and ‘Promotion’ to achieve its goals.

TDL, the world's largest drone racing team with 150 pilots and 20 teachers, has organised +200 drone races, events and educations. More than 100 FPV pilots and more than 5000 young people/children have been trained to start and making drones.

In the FPV drone races organised by TDL every year, pilots from 2 sports clubs affiliated to THSF (Drone Sports Sports Club and International Drone Sports Sports Club), as well as 6 school and municipality drone racing teams that TDL supports the establishment of in Turkey, and pilots from other clubs affiliated to THSF participate.

TDL has also been organising THSF's İHA Drone races Turkey Championship races for the last 2 years.
